Fatty Acids Product Applications
Fatty Acids are produced by the hydrolysis of the ester linkages in a fat or biological oil (both of which are triglycerides) with the removal of glycerol. The oil/fat can either be of animal origin (Tallow) or vegetable origin (Palm Oil). The by-product is Glycerine. Fatty Acids are used in almost all sectors of industry, with the tallow form having a diverse range of uses in candles, crayons, soap and detergents, chemicals and domestic cooking materials.
Fatty Acids are routinely used as raw materials for bar soap production as well as reactants for a wide variety of end products.

Caprylic Acid / Capric Acid Product Applications
Caprylic Acid/Capric Acid grade available from H Foster is also known by the systematic name Octanoic/Decanoic Acid, commercial description Fatty Acid C8 / C10. They are a member of the series of Fatty Acids founds in oils and animal fats. The name is derived from the word caper (Latin for ‘Goat’). It is an oily liquid with a slightly unpleasant, rancid taste that is minimally soluble in water. It is used in organic synthesis and the manufacture of perfume, medicine, lubricating grease, rubber and dyes.
Distilled Coconut Fatty Acid Product Applications
Coconuts are the source of important physiologically functional components which are found in the fat part of whole coconut, the fat part of the desiccated coconut and in the extracted coconut oil. Distilled Coconut Fatty Acid is commonly used in soaps as a super fattening agent. It also finds extensive application in alkyd resin manufacturing and in manufacturing of chemical auxiliaries for textiles and other industries.
