Oleic Acid Product Applications

Oleic Acid is the most abundant of the unsaturated fatty acids in nature. It is a mono unsaturated omega-9 fatty acid found in various animal and vegetables sources. It has been identified in various foods such as brown rice and beef. It is a pale yellow or brownish yellow oily liquid with a lard-like odour, insoluble in water. It is used in the food industry to make synthetic butters and cheeses, to flavour baked goods, sweets, ice cream and lemonade. It is also used in cosmetics in the preparation of moisturisers and ointments.
